Scuba Diver
The PADI Scuba Diver course is a sub-course of the PADI Open Water Diver course. If you don’t have enough time but really want to become a diver, the level of PADI Scuba Diver can be great for you, particularly if you expect to dive mainly with a dive guide. This course is an intermediate step to get an Open Water Diver certification, if that is your ultimate goal.
PADI Scuba Divers are qualified to:
- Dive under the direct supervision of a PADI Professional to a maximum depth of 12 meters / 40 feet.
- Hire tanks, rent or buy diving equipment and participate in diving activities as long as they are properly supervised.
- Continue diving training by completing the PADI Open Water Diver certification and do certain specialty diving courses.
To enroll in a PADI Scuba Diver course (or a Junior Scuba Diver course), you must be 10 years of age or older. You need proper swimming techniques and be in good health. No previous diving experience is required, but you can try the Discover Scuba Diving program first.
