Cavour (pecio)
In front of Calafat, less than 5 miles from the port of L’Ametlla de Mar, we have what may be the most attractive wreck of the Catalan Coast. Italian merchant of more than 100 meters of length by 20 of sleeve, popularly nicknamed “El Correu”, rests since 1917 on a muddy sand bottom at 52 meters deep, although due to its height the cover is 42 meters. Open everywhere by the action of de-blistering in the middle of the last century, it remains an imposing artificial reef. In its stern it conserves a cannon that did not get to use against the German submarine that sank it. Difficulty level 3 consolidated.
